Wardrobes

Wardrobes can be made framed or unframed both are functional it is purely down to which you prefer.

The above has doors hung in frames with brass butt hinges which has a very traditional look to it. The doors are made from tulipwood with mdf panels for a great painting surface.

The interior of most wardrobes leaves the back wall on view, the doors are fixed to a frame that is fixed back to the wall with a shelf at approximately 1.8m (6ft) from the floor, the top shelf (or ceiling) and on the floor. This makes a very strong front for the doors to attached to and also gives you as much depth inside as possible which needs to be around 600mm (2ft) for clothes to hang well.

The inside can be divided as you wish with double hanging space or shelves, drawers shoe racks etc.

An unframed painted wardrobe using modern hinges   but still very traditional in appearance.
